Where have the first two months of the year gone? Oh yeah, Crazy stuff has been going on around the Ghent household!
Our 3rd grandchild and first granddaughter made her entry into the world on January 4th, 2012 - 26 days early! She was rushed to the NICU in Shreveport, LA as her breathing was off....well, OK, she quit breathing right after she was born. Long story short.... ragged breathing, hole in one of her lungs, enlarged heart, ventilator, nitrous oxide, chest tube....and two and a half weeks later she is headed home. Her Doctor was amazed at her rapid recovery.... She is a little miracle for sure! Miss Abigail Claire Cherry!
Then, my husband and I traded off being really sick over the course of three weeks.... we were each home almost a week from work, which NEVER happens!
Megan and family came to visit for a week. It was awesome to have that time with Benjamin!! I feel like he "knows" who we are now. Saw him 1.5 weeks later and his face lit up, can you hear the heart strings playing?
My Uncle passed away and we went to KY for a whirlwind trip....29 hours in the car round trip with a 7 week old and a 16 month old for 48 hours in a hotel. Are we crazy or what?
On top of all of this Sarah & Kevin's wedding prep is under way..... :o) Did I tell you that the announcements were printed wrong and are being reprinted as I type this? UGH!!
Looking forward to March and Sarah & Mathew getting here for a visit and the wedding! Kevin will arrive the first week of April.
